Hawzah News agency (Qom, Iran) – Speaking at his advanced jurisprudence course in Qom's Grand mosque on Wednesday, Grand Ayatollah Jafar Sobhani slammed the prosecution of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar saying, "I hope that Muslims in Myanmar are liberated from the injustice and oppression imposed by their dictator rulers."
Ayatollah Sobhani added, "Myanmar rulers and authorities displace the Muslim community including women and innocent children from their homes and cities. This is because those rulers oppose the fundamental doctrine and logic of Islam."
Pointing out the fact that oppressor's time will eventually be over, the Shia cleric said, "The chance given to infidels by Allah Almighty is finite and they will see their retribution."
Highlighting the positive effects of tolerating hardships by the faithful in life, the Shia source of emulation concluded, "According to Quranic verses, if one tolerates life's hardships he or she will be manage to stand strong against any other life events."
